Lesson Script

A Nice Walk Ruined
Ein Ruinierter Spaziergang

Hi! My name is Nina. I live in Berlin.
Hallo! Ich heiße Nina. Ich wohne in Berlin.

This city is very big and loud.
Diese Stadt ist sehr groß und laut.

Just like New York.
Genauso wie New York.

Today I walk through the city.

Every district has a different atmosphere.
Jeder Bezirk hat eine andere Atmosphäre.

There are narrow and broad streets, grey and colorful houses.

And there are people everywhere.
Und überall sind viele Menschen.

They often have a dog.
Sie haben oft einen Hund.

Sadly the dog poop mostly ends up on the sidewalk.

Therefore I have to be careful where I walk.
Deshalb muss ich aufpassen, wo ich laufe.

Suddenly I hear a child crying and a dog barking.

I make one step backwards.
Ich mache einen Schritt rückwärts.

Of course I step into dog poop.
Natürlich trete ich in einen Hundehaufen.

Eeek!
Iiihhh!

What a bummer!
So ein Ärger!

I run home quickly and clean my shoes.

Next time I will take my bicycle.
Nächstes Mal nehme ich mein Fahrrad.

That is safer!

Das ist sicherer!
