Determiner Endings 2 - Singular-Masculine in Nominative Case

Introduction
In this lesson we focus on what endings determiners use when they precede a singular masculine noun, such as "der Ball", "der Bus" or "der Ballon", in the nominative case. Some of these determiners end with "e" "r" in this context; some have no ending.

Determiners Ending with "er"
The following sentences use determiners which end with "e" "r".

This ball is green.
Dieser Ball ist grün.

Not every ball is blue.
Nicht jeder Ball ist blau.

Which ball is purple?
Welcher Ball ist lila?

This bus is orange.
Dieser Bus ist orange.

Not every bus is brown.
Nicht jeder Bus ist braun.

Which bus is gray?
Welcher Bus ist grau?

Determiners with No Ending
The following sentences use determiners which have no ending in this context. Note that these determiners include ein, kein and possessive pronouns.

A ball is green.
Ein Ball ist grün.

No ball is white.
Kein Ball ist weiß.

My ball is red.
Mein Ball ist rot.

Formal your ball is brown.
Ihr Ball ist braun.

Her ball is yellow.
Ihr Ball is gelb.

Plural your ball is blue.
Euer Ball ist blau.

Your ball is black.
Dein Ball ist schwarz.

Their ball is purple.
Ihr Ball ist lila.

His ball is orange.
Sein Ball is orange.

Our ball is gray.
Unser Ball ist grau.

Randomized Practice
Now we'll practice using determiners with both types of endings

Formal your balloon is brown.
Ihr Ballon ist braun.

This balloon is green.
Dieser Ballon ist grün.

Your balloon is black.
Dein Ballon ist schwarz.

A balloon is green.
Ein Ballon ist grün.

Our balloon is gray.
Unser Ballon ist grau.

His balloon is orange.
Sein Ballon is orange.

My balloon is red.
Mein Ballon ist rot.

Their balloon is purple.
Ihr Ballon ist lila.

Which balloon is blue?
Welcher Ballon ist blau?

Plural your balloon is blue.
Euer Ballon ist blau.

No balloon is white.
Kein Ballon ist weiß.

Not every balloon is purple.
Nicht jeder Ballon ist lila.

Her balloon is yellow.
