Gehen
The Verb "Gehen"- "To Go"

Introduction
In German, the verb "gehen" translates as "to go", as well as "to walk" and "to leave". A few idiomatic phrases which use the verb "gehen" are also introduced in this lesson.

I go away.
Ich gehe weg.

I go now.
Ich gehe jetzt.

I go grocery shopping.
Ich gehe einkaufen.

You go now.
Du gehst jetzt.

You walk slowly.
Du gehst langsam.

He goes grocery shopping.
Er geht einkaufen.

Hans goes to Sarah.
Hans geht zu Sarah.

She goes for a walk.
Sie geht spazieren.

She leaves now.
Sie geht jetzt.

Sarah goes away slowly.
Sarah geht langsam weg.

It works now.
Es geht jetzt.

It doesn't work.
Es geht nicht.

We go to the movies.
Wir gehen in das Kino.

We go together.
Wir gehen zusammen.

Sarah and I don't go together.
Sarah und ich gehen nicht zusammen.

We don't go now.
Wir gehen nicht jetzt.

You guys go for a walk.
Ihr geht spazieren.

You guys go now.
Ihr geht jetzt.

You guys go together.
Ihr geht zusammen.

Sarah and you go together.
Sarah und du geht zusammen.

They walk away.
Sie gehen weg.

They walk slowly.
Sie gehen langsam.

They go for a walk.
Sie gehen spazieren.

Hans and Sarah leave now.
Hans und Sarah gehen jetzt.

Formal you walk slowly, Mr. Fast.
Sie gehen langsam, Herr Schnell.

Formal you leave now, Ms Summer.
Sie gehen jetzt, Frau Sommer.

Ms. Summer, formal you go to Hans.

Frau Sommer, Sie gehen zu Hans.
