Zài Fàndiàn
在饭店

A:

I want a dish of cucumber salad.
Wǒ xiǎngyào yìpán liángbàn huángguā.
我想要一盘凉拌黄瓜。
Note: Literally... I ~ want ~ a dish ~ cold with sauce ~ cucumber

Also bring a dish of Mapo Tofu.
Zài lái yìpán mápódòufu.
再来一盘麻婆豆腐。

What specialties do you have?
Nǐmen yǒu shénme tèsè cài?
你们有什么特色菜?
Note: Literal... you (plural) ~ have ~ what ~ special ~ food ?

B:

The menu's first page has.
Càidān dìyīyè yǒu.
菜单第一页有。

A:

I'd like - also bring a bit of fried rice - then that's all.
Wǒ xiǎng zài lái yífèn chǎofàn jiù kěyǐ le.
我想再来一份炒饭就可以了。

B:

What do you want to drink?
Ní xiǎngyào hē diǎnr shénme ma?
你想要喝点儿什么吗?
Note: Literally... you (polite) ~ want ~ drink ~ a little ~ what ~ question particle

A:

The tea is free?
Cháshuǐ shì miǎnfèi de ma?
茶水是免费的吗?

B:

Yes.
Shìde.
是的。

A:

Then - I drink tea - thus okay.
Nà wǒ hēchá jiù xíng le.
那我喝茶就行了。
